Privacy Policy — Tour Expense Manager

1. Overview

Tour Expense Manager ("the App") helps users track travel-related expenses. All user-entered data is stored locally on your device with an optional backup to your personal Google Drive account. We do not operate remote servers storing your expense data.

2. Data We Collect and Access

• Google Account Authentication: We request access to your openid, profile, and email scopes strictly to provide secure sign-in and display your name/profile picture within the app.
• User Expense Data: Tour names, participant lists, expense amounts, categories, and payment statuses are stored entirely locally on your device's SQLite database.
• Google Drive Integration: We request access to the drive.appdata and drive.file scopes. This allows the app to securely backup and restore your local expense database to a sandboxed, app-specific folder on your personal Google Drive. We cannot, and do not, read or modify any other files on your Google Drive.
• Device and Usage Information (via AdMob): Our third-party advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and generalized usage data to serve advertisements.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Tour Expense Manager's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres entirely to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How Data Is Used

• To provide core application functionality (tracking, splitting, and settling expenses).
• To allow user-initiated backup and restoration of the SQLite database to and from your Google Drive.
• To serve relevant, non-intrusive advertisements through the Google AdMob network.

5. Third-Party Advertising & AdMob

Our app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. To provide and personalize ads, AdMob may automatically collect certain device information, including your IP address, device identifiers, and generalized location data. No personal identifying information (such as your name or email) is ever shared with advertisers by us.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).

6. Data Storage and Security

Your expense data remains securely stored on your local device. Backup files are transmitted securely over HTTPS and remain exclusively inside your personal Google Drive storage space. We do not maintain any centralized cloud servers, and we have zero access to your Google Drive contents other than the specific backup database file created by this App.

7. Data Sharing

Your personal data, expense information, and Google authentication tokens are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties by the developer. The app only utilizes Google Sign-In, Google Drive APIs, and Google AdMob directly as described above to provide core services.

8. User Control & Data Deletion

You maintain full ownership and control over your data. You may:

• Delete your database backups directly from your Google Drive account (Settings > Manage Apps).
• Sign out of Google and revoke all access tokens directly within the app settings.
• Clear the app data or completely uninstall the app from your device to permanently wipe all locally stored expense data.

9. Children’s Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
